What is X-SMS?
Ever thought of backing up you memorable sms’ in a cooler way inside a text or html file with sender and time listed? X-SMS is a s60 python application developed by our Symbian-freak developer and beta tester team member Siraj Hassan Mohideen a.k.a Apache.

What does X-SMS do?
X-SMS a small, fast, and reliable free utility to backup all of your sms inside your inbox
into one .txt or .html web page so that you can view them later and the memory of your
past time might just make you happy when you have a big downside-up frawn in your face.
Guess like one friend wrote you a very funny joke, or your loved ones sent lovely quotes,
X-SMS lets you read and recite to remember and enjoy.
Requirements: two hands, a symbian phone, a smile, and python s60 updated runtime with script shells installed.
How to use X-SMS?
1. Download your corresponding compatible copy of the app’s installer and install it in your phone
2. after installation is finished, the app will shortly appear on the menu, run it.

When feature of restore will come for s60v5???
I am switching from n73 to 5800 xm…i want to restore my msg!!
speed looks little slow…
and why version 1.50 is shown as 2.02 everywhere??

ur application runs cool in s60v3 and version appears as 2.00.
But when I install attached part 1 & part 2 in my 5800 XM, it says version 1.50???
Eagerly waiting for restore feature!!!!

Thanks alot for the reply. I’m Using Nokia 5800 MX.. I have a try earlier to backup my sms, it seems like only capable to backup 3xx If i not mistaken. >.<

I do the backup like –> creat TxT ; doc ; HTML.. i think because my sms are unicode ( Chinese) and i can’t view in HTML, it show me alot of unknow symbol. >.< But all are about 3xx msg only.. Thanks for helping friend!

hey dude, the download link seems to be dead for you s60 v3 version. I recently tried the one provided on symbian-freaks but I could not get it to install on my Nokia 6720.

Trying to update version 1.5 with version 2.0 (using an s60 v3 N82 phone) but always got message “Update error” even after deleting version 1.5. Should I upgrade my phyton to 1.9.7 or x-sms 2.0 is still using 1.45?
Your software is unique, I hope I can fix it.
