Nokia 5800XM Firmware V40 Out Now!
Hello Friends much awaited Nokia 5800 firmware goes live now. It supposedly possess many new features like
Well, I’ll make a changelog of what I saw so far:
- KS everywhere except: main menu, application menu, browser.
- HS equal to that of 5530
- Removed the alphanumeric keypad in landscape version, now when we turned the phone alphanumeric portrait changes to full qwerty
- New screen alarm, but only when the screen is locked
- Ovi Contacts installed
-NOT HACKABLE!!
- In the settings menu there is a new icon for ‘Phone Switch’ You can update your Nokia 5800XM to the new firmware v40.0.5 using either the inbuilt OTA (Over The Air) method, or the traditional Nokia’s Software Updater Method on your PC.
Though Nokia 5800XM does support UDP (User Data Preservation), we highly recommend you to backup all your data, before you kickstart the firmware update, so that you don’t suffer any data loss.
If your device does not detect any new firmware, then relax, because it might have not reached your region product code yet. The firmware update will eventually roll out to all product codes of Nokia 5800 XM.The firmware update is available for product codes such as

another strange thing is that ..
that in App.Update .. apps of nokia which are available are showing..
but when i go to device updates in settings.. and check for update . it says Server not responding …
im so angry .. siraj plz , help me

well , now m not getting the error .
i formatted the phone again .. hacked it and now updating it ..

Well Siraj ,
after updating to v40 . we can still install Vodafone and Orange Homescreen ..
This How We Can ::::—-:::::
First Downlaod These Two files Voda and Orange Homescreen :

now since v40 is ungackable .. we need to sign these both sis files … and we all know how we can ..
after signing — install Orange on any Drive (c or e) you want to .. it will work fine
but for Vodafone u must install it on E drive (Memory Card) .
Now after intalling the Signed Voda Sis file to E .. Coonect ur mobile tp pc .. go to memory card drive in ur pc .. and then :-
go to E:\resource\plugins\vodafoneidle2\ (change 4520x to your network code) on PC and it works ..
although the new Homescreen is just so cool . u wont need this . but if sum1 does then here you go ..
